Departmental Description the Office of the Academic Services is responsible for oversight of the effective educational of the district in accordance with law and board policy:

Instructional Services Division

Through recognition, development and use of the leadership abilities of staff, the Superintendent provides and promotes an educational program of the highest quality from pre-school through adult school with emphasis upon:

  1. Excellence of education, soundness of budget and willingness to try innovative methods and devices;
  2. Recruiting and training the best possible personnel;
  3. Recurrent evaluation of student progress and of the educational program and staff; and
  4. A flexible curriculum responsive to changing needs and values for the effective operation of all divisions of the system in accordance with law, board policy and employment agreements.
