Notice of Public Hearing

NOTICE OF ESTABLISHMENT OF A PRIORITY LIST OF USE OF REAL PROPERTY THAT WILL BE ACCEPTABLE TO THE COMMUNITY AND NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BY THE DISTRICT ADVISORY COMMITTEE OF THE INGLEWOOD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT

Pursuant to the provisions of Education Code section 17390(b), the District Advisory Committee of the Inglewood Unified School District has prepared a priority list of use of real property that will be acceptable to the community for the properties listed below. The Committee lists the following properties as surplus to the District:

  • Northern and eastern portions of Morningside High School Site, located at 10500 S. Yukon Avenue Inglewood, CA 90303.
  • Undeveloped Parcel, located at 107th St. & Yukon Ave., Inglewood, CA 90303.
  • Woodworth School Site, located at 3200 W. 104th Street Inglewood, Ca 90303 (merge with Monroe Middle School).
  • Portion of unused land closest to 405 Fwy at Oak Street School Site, located at 633 S. Oak Street Inglewood, CA 90301.
  • Old Warren Lane Site, located at 9330 S. 8th Avenue Inglewood, CA 90305.
  • Maintenance, Operations & Transportation Facilities Site, located at 416 N. Edgewood Avenue Inglewood, CA 90302.
  • Southern and western portions of unused land at Monroe Middle School, located at 10711 10th Avenue Inglewood, CA 90303.

The Committee previously held meetings on May 4, 11, 18, 25, 2017; June 8, 2017; July 6, 2017; and January 8, 2018, and has identified these potential surplus properties. The Committee will hold two Public Hearings for the purposes of discussion of the priority use list set forth above on January 17th and 22nd , 2018 at 5:30 p.m. in Dr. Ernest Shaw Board Room, 401 S. After-school Programs Request for Proposals

April 28, 2017

Request For Proposals (RFP) No.: 001-2017/18

The Inglewood Unified School District (IUSD) seeks proposals from firms, community based organizations, and other qualified entities to provide After-School Programs through the Afterschool Education and Safety (ASES) grant for 7 elementary schools as delineated in the Statement of Work (SOW) in the After-School Programs throughout the District. Contracted amount should not exceed $6.00 per maximum allotted students per the grant amount.

The intent of this comprehensive RFP is to create a pool of after-school providers whose eligibility for contract award will remain valid for 2 years subject to yearly renewal commencing on July 1, 2017. The District will review responses to this RFP, and in its sole and absolute discretion, make choices for service providers for specific schools wishing to:
Establish new After-School Programs and/or Re-apply for continuation of existing After-School Programs that will expire on June 9, 2017.


Restroom Replacement Notice of Inviting Bids

Notice is hereby given that the Inglewood Unified School District, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as “District”, will receive prior to Friday May 12th, 2017 at 3:00 P.M., at 401 S. Inglewood Avenue, Inglewood, CA 90301 sealed bids for the award of a Contract for the following:

Project No. P16/17-014

Restroom Replacement In-Kind Phase 1 at; Morningside High School; Payne Elementary School; Centinela Elementary School; Inglewood High School; Kelso Elementary School; Hudnall Elementary School; Bennett-Kew Elementary School; Highland Elementary School; Parent Elementary School.

The basis of award will be the total combined price for these campuses.

Bid Estimate: $1,500,999.00

All bids shall be made and presented only on the forms presented by the District. Bids shall be received in the Office of the CBO at 401 S. Inglewood Avenue, Inglewood, California 90301 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above state time and place. Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened.

The Contract Duration is 90 days.

Contractor should consult the General Conditions, Supplementary Conditions, and General Requirements regarding Milestones and Liquidated Damages.


Inglewood Unified School District Application For Citizens’ Oversight Committee

Inglewood Unified School District is seeking two qualified, interested individuals to serve on a committee of community leaders which will serve as the independent Citizens’ Oversight Committee (“COC”) for the implementation of the District’s Measure GG school facilities bond program. The two seats that are available are:

  • Business Representative – Active in a business organization representing local business
  • Community At-Large

On November 6, 2012, voters residing within the Inglewood Unified School District passed Measure GG. Measure GG is a $90 million bond measure that authorizes funding for needed repairs, upgrades and new construction projects to the District’s schools. Proposition 39 requires a 55% supermajority for approval; Measure GG was passed by 88.1%

Estimate: $970,000.00

All bids shall be made and presented only on the forms presented by the District. Bids shall be received in the Office of the CBO, at 401 S Inglewood Ave, Inglewood, California 90301 and shall be opened and publicly read aloud at the above state time and place. Any bids received after the time specified above or after any extensions due to material changes shall be returned unopened.

The Contract Time is Ninety (90) days.
